When it comes to picking your niche in internet marketing, making this decision can be the toughest part of your business. There are many factors to picking the correct niche and it takes a little research to figure out what your niche is to be in. NICHE was such an annoying word to me when I first started!!! I got sick of that word. So I went with the most popular niche that I could think of because I knew that I could make money in this niche. Tons of people buy products in this niche and I knew I’d make a killing! Yes! I found it! Can you guess what I chose? I ‘ll give you a hint…I played sports all of my life all the way up to the college level
My niche was going to be health and fitness!! I have a passion about sports, it’s easy to talk about, and I’d have fun doing it if I can make tons of money while marketing with my experience!!! On my way to the bank! Well, not quite. You can image my looongggg sad face after realizes that my perception was totally wrong. I marketed, created squeeze pages, posted in forums, bought ads, and did not get good results. What was I doing wrong?
After searching around in some internet marketing forums, I realized that I was in the wrong niche.
Why?
I was in the wrong niche because for what I wanted to do, people were not spending any money upfront! Think about it. The internet and booming with online marketers now-days that are trying to be financially free. More people are in the internet marketing niche that are more willing to spend the big bucks at any given time, as opposed to finding specific people who are trying to get a 6-pack by the end of summer. Not only that, there are more big-ticket items to sell in internet marketing. How come internet marketing is so much better? It’s because you can make a quick $dollar$ as fast as a few hours after implementing a system or a program with affiliate marketing and other products. The power of the internet is limitless and your audience is limitless. Who doesn’t want’ to make an extra few bucks without a lot of hard work? That’s why you are here reading this article right now! We are all in the same boat.
Don’t get me wrong, I will continue to explore the health and fitness market because there is success to be had in that niche. It just takes a little more relationship building and trust from my lists that I build in order to make the sale as opposed to internet marketing. That’s the beauty of being an entrepreneurer. When things are not working out, you have to find a way to make it work out. Most likely, there are a few things that I can tweak to make this niche more effective for me, but as of this moment, internet marketing is my bread and butter. Pick the right niche for you!;)
