While I was going through Anik Singal’s program Inbox Blueprint, I went through one of his tutorials. He made the remark that a lot of people talk about article marketing. Why do so many people talk about article marketing? His response to that question…so many teach on article marketing because IT WORKS!!!! If Anik Singal himself said that, well then guess what I am spending a little time on? Yep, you got it, article marketing.
Article marketing works and it is so popular because it is free. It is one of the few and effective methods of making money that is free. Take advantage of anything this is free. Competition is never too tight to do something that is free. If you have very little time, you can submit one to two articles a week on a niche that you chose. When choosing a niche, stick with it. Create multiple articles on that niche and watch your list build.
So how do I create an effective article?
When creating your articles, make them helpful. Do not try to sale something on every article that you create. I made that mistake myself when I first began making articles. You don’t want to do that because people who read your articles will feel like they are being pitched in your article. When your reader feels pitched on the first article that they read from you, they will not sign-up for your “free gift”, or “weekly newsletter”, nor your product that you’re selling, because you have already set the tone of making the reader expect a pitch on all of your articles that you have to offer. Build trust with your articles. That’s really what it is all about. When you come across someone and they give you something that fulfills a need and they do not expect you to give them anything back, they gain your trust. When someone has your trust, you trust in the rest of the information or a product that they give you from that point on because you know if the first product he gave you helped you along your journey, then surely whatever else he has to give you will have the same effect.
Lastly, you want to build up the appetites of the readers. You do not want to give them all of the details that your niche promotes. Give them just enough to want more. You do this so that the reader can then be directed to your webpage so they can read the full article or so that they can be directed to your squeeze page. The goal of article marketing is to provide useful information, so they can turn into a lead of some sort. The lead can be a “like” on facebook, a “follower” on twitter, or a subscriber to your list. At the end of each of your articles, you want to call your reader to an action which will result to turning the reader into a lead. That’s the power of Article marketing.
